Arlene Knaak

I am a Liberty, TN, clay artist and a former student of the Appalachian Center for Crafts. My first love was hand-building starting in high school and remains so after 40 years! I regularly use pit-firing as a favored method for my sculptural work and wall murals, but glaze-fire my functional pieces such as dinnerware. You can identify most of my work with its ongoing theme that I call the "industrial " look with gears, screens, and motor parts.

My work can be seen in the following galleries:
Appalachian Center for Crafts,  Smithville, TN,
The Arts Center, Woodbury, TN,
Hanson Gallery, Knoxville,
Object d'Art, Algood,
Cornerstone Gifts, Murfreesboro, and Butterfly Fields, Lynchburg ,TN.

You may contact me at:
