The Highland Rim Chapter is one of six active chapters of The Tennessee Association of Craft Artists. The chapter's geographical area includes Macon, Clay, Pickett, Fentress, Overton, Jackson, Smith, Dekalb, Putnam, Cumberland, White, Van Burren, Warren, and Cannon counties. Chapter members participate regularly in TACA activities, including the Tennessee Crafts Fair in Nashville. We meet four times a year either at the The Appalachian Center for Craft or in members' homes. Frequently those meetings include a studio tour. Members participate in annual exhibitions (right: Joyce Sievers). Information about membership and how to join TACA is on the TACA membership page.
Since 2000, Highland Rim has been responsible for the craft exhibition area of the Cookeville Fall Fun Fest. Many of our members participate in the Fall Fun Fest. Jim McGie (right) is a Master Heritage Artist who utilizes simple hand tools to produce rocking chairs, dough bowls, rustic bark baskets, hand-carved spoons, footstools, benches, neck hauling yokes, and guitar stands just as they were made in days gone by.

Susan DeMay (left) is known for her colorful stoneware pottery. The background image used for the header on this page is a detail of one of her ceramic pieces.

Noreen Grisolano (below) teaches at the "Kids Booth".
