TACA Highland Rim Chapter February 2005 Newsletter & Minutes
Highland Rim Officers for 2005:
President: Tim Hintz
Vice-President: John Lucas
Treasurer: Noreen Grisolano
Secretary: Deborah Sam
Board Reps: Jeanne Brady, Tim Hintz, Adele Seitzinger, and Virginia Walker.
February 5, 2005 Meeting Minutes:
The Chapter met at the Appalachian Center for Craft and enjoyed a potluck lunch after the meeting. In attendance were: Anderson Bailey, Margie Detring, Reed Detring, Sherri Gilbert, Noreen Grisolano, Andrzej Gutek, Rob Harvey, Tim Hintz, Nancy Jansen, Ralph Jansen, Lisa Klakulak, Sharon Kooienga, William Kooienga, Masako Onodera, Amy Potter, Breanna Rockstad–Kincaid, Deborah Sam, Adele Seitzinger, and guests Bennan Detring and Printha McCallum (TACA's new assistant director).
Noreen reported that the Chapter has a bank balance of $1,131 (2005 dues not included–we should expect ~$600, based on last year's amount–this is the amount that the Chapter gets from membership dues)
William was designated as coordinator for the Chapter booth at the TACA Spring Fair. TACA was also notified of our interest. In addition, Andrzej volunteered to handle the money calculations.
Possible venues for future chapter exhibitions were discussed. Everyone who suggested a place will check on the requirements and timetables and report back at the May meeting. We are even looking a few years down the road.
The members voted to set aside up to $500 dollars for scholarships (for half of workshop fee) to the Bruce Baker event. Interested members, please call (931 858–2833) or email (jgrisolano@earthlink.net) Noreen by February 28, 2005.
The members voted unanimously to donate $250 to Art Comes To Schools, Pickett County and Jackson County with the Tennessee Arts.
