| Exhibition Opportunities: . TACA has been invited to exhibit for the Wal-Mart 2nd Annual Craft Sale at the Cookeville Wal-Mart Super Center Parking Lot - June 23, 2007. Booth Fee's support the Children's Miracle Network. Booth setup time is 8-9am. Bring your own tables/tents. Booth Fee for a 15'x15' space is $25.00. There is Free advertising and a great opportunity to get your goods featured in a high-traffic location while supporting the Children's Miracle Network. Have Questions? Need an Entry Form? Call 931-520-0232 Ext. 182 or 183 -Mon-Fri 7am-4pm. All entries & fees must be sent in on/before June 16th. . September 7-8, Cookeville Fall Fun Fest is 'right around the corner' so go to www.finecrafts.org for an Entry application form. Send your completed form and fees to Mike Whiteman (see website for details). . The statewide Directory is being redesigned and the Newsletter will take more of the promotional function that was previously dedicated to the Directory. . Members of the Cumberland Valley Chapter are working to develop an educational workshop for next spring. You will be asked for topic recommendations. Local chapters are encouraged to give support of the state organization. |
| Spring Fair - Chapter Group Booth It was agreed that the participants would benefit from more year-to-year continuity with a layout plan ahead of time and having booth workers promote sales. A Handbook was recommended. |

Board Meeting: TACA members can be assured that the organization is in the good hands of new staff
and board members as well as experienced veterans. -The Finance Committee is busy organizing the books and creating a plan to put the organization on a firm footing. -The Fair Committee is forming a Task Force to investigate Bicentennial Mall as a future Fair site. |

If those words make sense to you and you have new digital photos of your work for our Highland Rim website www.finecrafts.org; Andrzej Gutek, our fearless computer Guru, agutek@tntech.edu says he can now accommodate up to 800 pixels/72 dpi and jpeg is the ideal way to format. |

Members may apply for Professional Development Grants available thanks to the Empty Bowls bank contributions.
These scholarships are available to TACA members for (any) art-related workshops by contacting
the Nashville TACA office by phone
(615) 385-1904 or email: www.tennesseecrafts.org.
Be sure to include your contact information. At this time there are plenty of funds available. The workshop should enhance your current craft or help you venture into a new art form. The TACA office will need to know some basics: Who, what, when and why. They will contact you with their decision. We ask Highland Rim members to please share your workshop experience at the next Chapter meeting, i.e., what you learned and how this will help meet your artistic goals. |

Tentative Highland Rim Chapter Meetings: Saturday, September 15th, at Carol & Andrzej's home in Cookeville at 11 am. The meeting will feature the popular "Show & Tell" event and a potluck. Bring crafts for "Show & Tell" and bring YOUR ideas for a topic for the December meeting too. Saturday, December 1st, 11am, at the Appalachian Craft Center. |
