February 2008 Newsletter & Minutes

February 5, 2008: Andrzej opened the meeting, and while we introduced ourselves and ate, Kim Winkle, Tim Hintz and Susan Thornton reported on the TACA retreat and Bruce Baker workshop at Scarritt-Bennett Center in Nashville. We then enjoyed a wonderful presentation by Stephen Spicer of Spicer & Co. which covered the opening of and running a bricks and mortar business.

Stephen was using his new jewelry store across from the Cookeville Depot as the model on how to establish and run an art business.

The audience included both professionals and Craft Center students, some of whom are pictured (back left to right): Rob Harvey, Ben Jefferson, Susan Thornton, Cindy Billingsley, Elise Windus, Tim Hintz, Carol Ventura; and (front left to right) Tony Prince, Bethany Kolp, Stephen Spicer, Adele Seitzinger, and Kim Winkle.
