BOARD MEETING: Chery reported on the board meeting. If you want to read them, go to the board meeting link on the TACA Website. Tim Hintz reported that the State TACA is trying to set up a program that will allow each TACA member to have 5 images on their website. They need to raise $1000 for this, plus they will have to pay someone to work on input for this.
We need someone to be on the membership committee because Jess Jones has moved to Atlanta. If you would like to be on the committee, which usually meets in Nashville, please contact Tim Hintz at freshchairs@dtccom.net
If you have any ideas for different programs for the Workshop Committee for presentations next spring, please contact Tim Hintz (above) or Kim Winkle wimkinkle@yahoo.com
TACA BIENNIAL EXHIBIT: is scheduled for August at the Tennessee State Museum. It is open to any artists, however, there will be a $5 discount for TACA members.
SHOW AT BELMONT UNIVERSITY with CV TACA. This will be a juried exhibition. We will need people to submit slides. These shows will both be running at the same time (September 2012), so you will need to enter different pieces for them.

WE NEED COMMITMENTS (which will help us determine how to spend our $700 next year). Art A La Carte: If you are interested in having a month exhibit that will cost you $12.50 (Highland Rim TACA pays the other $12.50) with newspaper coverage next year, please contact Laurie Hall at wheelnkiln2@aol.com FALL CREEK FALLS EXHIBITION: We have the opportunity to have a permanent exhibit at Fall Creek Falls. In order to do this, we will need to supply at least 2 enclosed pedestals which cost approximately $150 each. Highland Rim TACA would be responsible for a new exhibit every three months. (We could also have foam core boards with pictures of work that is too big to display.) If you would be interested in exhibiting, please contact Chery Cratty at chery3@mac.com |
